The realness of EDS.

I came across this very powerful and moving imagine about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It is hard to describe to people and for people to realise some of the pain felt on a day to day basis because it isn’t always visible. Some days I feel like I have been run over by a truck. Since I was a child I have always had “mystery bruises” which appear from nowhere. I sometimes feel as though I am trapped in the body of a 90 year old, not a should-be-healthy 23 year old.
Hope you are having a pain-free day.

Hey Charlie- I just got diagnosed with EDS a couple of months ago and am still absorbing what it means to live with it and all the implications of a chronic disorder. This image popped up on google and has stuck with me, because it’s hard to explain/justify my pain and incapability to people and even to myself sometimes. I haven’t talked to anyone else who has EDS, but I found your blog encouraging. Thanks for posting about it.
